2021 New Lexus IS to Reveal on June 16th

Lexus has released a fresh teaser video for its fourth-generation IS sedan, while also confirming a new reveal date.

The teaser confirms the forthcoming Lexus sedan will again come in IS350 and F Sport versions.

With a new reveal date set for the 2021 Lexus IS, the Japanese automaker has released a fairly revealing teaser for the sedan. The short video clip gives us a good look at the IS’s rear end and in particular, showing the sweeping taillights which run the width of the car. The reveal of the sedan is set for June 15 at 7 p.m. Eastern time and can be watched live on Facebook.

Lexus’s teasers confirm that the IS will once again be offered as an IS350 model, and the accompanying video shows the F Sport version is coming back as well. We’re not sure of any powertrain updates for 2021, but the current IS350 is the range-topping version of the IS and comes with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine.

The video of the F Sport model reveals some of the sedan’s sharp lines, and we expect the new styling will give the IS more presence than the outgoing model, which has been around since 2014 with minimal updates.

Lexus didn’t divulge any other details on the car, so we’ll have to wait until Monday to learn the rest.

The latest five-second teaser video gives us a glimpse of the newcomer’s alloy wheel design, confirms an F Sport variant will be offered (on the IS350 derivative, at least) and shows the C-pillar design. It also provides a close-up of the full-width taillamps.
