This unique piece, named “Falcon”, was created and shaped by Lutfi Romhein directly from 2 mm thick 316L stainless steel sheets.
This artwork depicts a very realistic falcon in its standing position.
The whole work of the artist on the organic shape of the body of this bird with many details (the heels, the beak, and the wings…) gives not only the presence of the bird, but also a real idea of its strength.
The eyes were made with black Belgian marble.
All the surroundings reflect perfectly in the mirror polished finishing of the sculpture : the sky, the cloud, the trees…
The bird is fixed on a Carrara white marble base without axis nor rotation system, but it can be removed from its base. The sculpture weighs totally 10 kg with its pedestal.
A graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrare, in Italy, Lutfi Romhein is a sculptor of Syrian origin, living in France since the mid-2000s.
Lutfi Romhein likes to explore a diversity of styles, but also of materials : marble, fine woods, stainless steel, slate, plexiglas… He is particularly renowned in Syria, the Middle East and in Italy.
