HOW TO KEEP YOUR CAR CLEAN IN THE SUMMERTIME
It can be a challenge to keep your car clean, but this struggle is never more sharply felt than in midst of a sticky Alabama summer. If you’re stressing out about how to keep your car clean this summer, have no fear: we have some easy car-cleaning tips specific to your needs that you might want to try out this year.
Don’t Scrub Under the Sun
Avoid hot, sunny spots while washing your car outside. Scrubbing under direct sunlight can leave unsightly water spots and swirls on the surface of your vehicle. Instead, wash your car in the shade and be sure to keep rinsing as you go.
Condition, Condition, Condition
If you have sensitive surfaces in your car (such as leather or vinyl), you should condition them regularly throughout the summertime to prevent them from breaking down. The intense heat can lead to chipping, cracking, and peeling, so grab some conditioning product specific to the material in question and massage away.
A Kiss of Vinegar
Whether it’s dust or grime on the inside of your windows and windshield or a mess of splattered bugs and pollen residue on the outside, summer can be quite cruel to glass. If you’ve got the need to clean, mix white vinegar and water into a spray bottle and use it to clean off your glass surfaces. This should ensure a clean, streak-free visual.
These are just some of the steps you can take to ensure that your ride is ready for the summer ahead. If you need help keeping your vehicle in top-top shape, bring it into Bentley Buick GMC for service.
